Salt caked and needle raked. If you're looking for more black and gray tattoos, Salty Tattooer's got ya. Moving to Saint Augustine in 2022, Shawn found a need for more traditional tattoos, but in the black and gray style that much of the local area was interested in. Salty Tattooer's style caters to just that while still being as salty as ever.

The shop minimum for any tattoo is $150. We do not tattoo faces, heads, or fingers unless agreed upon in initial consultation. Cover-ups, reworks, and full front or back pieces require a consultation before the initial booking.

A $100 deposit is required for every appointment. The deposit is deducted from the final price of your tattoo. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Deposits and payments can be made in cash, Zelle, or Venmo. If booking directly through Calendly, deposits can be made via PayPal.

WALK INs

We absolutely take walk ins. They are taken on a first come, first served basis. You can contact the shop directly to confirm availability. However, it is best to book ahead to ensure you have a dedicated time to discuss your tattoo idea with the artist.

PRICING

Each artist and piece is unique in their pricing structure. However, hourly averages are between $150-300. If you'd prefer, you're able to ask for an estimated price for your tattoo idea prior to scheduling. Shop minimum is $150. We prefer cash but do accept Zelle or Venmo.

CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel your appointment, please let your tattoo artist know 48 hours ahead of time. If you're unable to make your appointment and cancel within that 48 hours, you forfeit your $100 deposit.

REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 18 years of age to be tattooed at Flat Spell Tattoo; no exceptions. As well, we have the right to refuse to tattoo anyone who is under the influence or creates an uncomfortable space for anyone in the tattoo shop, artist or guest.

CONSULTATION

If you're not sure what you'd like, it's your first tattoo, or you're interested in a custom sleeve/back piece, please feel free to reach out via DM on each artist's Instagram. We're happy to discuss ideas and calm any nerves.

RESCHEDULE

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let your tattoo artist know at least 24 hours ahead of time. You will be able to use your $100 deposit on your rescheduled date. If it's within the 24 hour period, it will be treated as a cancellation.
